May 19, 2010 – UB DailyCommerce Real Estate Solutions reports that while the home building contraction has been devastating for the local industry, Utah has fared better than other western states, and in fact better than the national trend, which shows a 73.4 percent decline. Among the nine high growth western states Utah ranks best with the smallest decline of 61.

SENATE DEMOCRATS MAY NOT HAVE VOTES FOR CLOTURE
May 19, 2010Reports out of Washington suggest Senate Democrats are squabbling within their party over pending amendments to the Wall Street reform bill and that is threatening to extend debate on the legislation beyond tomorrow, when Senate majority leader Harry Reid had hoped to win a cloture vote.
