STEM Grads


National Association Of Manufacturers, Other Groups Form Coalition To Push For More STEM Grads.

Politico (1/24) reports, "A new coalition, inSPIRE STEM USA (Supporting Productive Immigration Reform and Education), is calling for Congress to address the high-skilled jobs crisis and strengthen the US STEM education pipeline. The coalition includes American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Caterpillar, Council of Chief State School Officers, IBM, Intel, League of United Latin American Citizens, Microsoft, National Association of Manufacturers, and National Science Teachers Association. The coalition is co-chaired by former New Hampshire Sen. John Sununu and Maria Cardona, a former adviser to the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton and surrogate for both of Barack Obama's presidential campaigns."
