Former state representative Stuart Adams got the nod Saturday from Davis County Republican Party as the next state senator in District 22, succeeding Lt. Gov. Greg Bell. He will, of course have to be confirmed by the Utah Senate but that should be no problem for this well respected former lawmaker and current chairman of the Utah Transportation Commission.
“Stuart was an excellent member of the Utah House of Representatives in his two terms and will be a great friend of business and the economy in the Utah Senate,” according to UMA President Tom Bingham. “He is a good thinker and understands the importance of jobs and the health of business and industry to the Utah economy.”
UMA welcomes back to the ranks of lawmakers Senator Stuart Adams. It will be good to work with him again on Capitol Hill.
