BIG-D RANKS AMONG LARGEST IN NATION

Big-D Construction Corporation (www.big-d.com) has been ranked among the top 400 contractors in the nation by Engineering News Record (ENR) magazine. The New York-based publication — which provides an annual ranking of the nation’s top contractors based upon total revenue — ranked Big-D Construction 96 in the nation for 2009; up from 115 in 2008.

This is the twenty-first consecutive year Big-D has earned a spot in the listing. ENR listed its total revenue for 2008 in excess of $688 million, a 27 percent revenue increase from last year.

In addition to being ranked at #96 in the top 400 contractors (23rd largest in the western United States), Big-D was also listed as:

· The fifth largest Food Processing contractor in the nation (second largest in the western United States)
· The ninth largest Aerospace contractor
· The 14th largest Distribution and Warehouse contractor (fourth largest in the western United States)
· The 17th largest Retail contractor (8th largest in the western United States)

“While this is a great bench mark of our continued success, it is in large part due to our loyal customer base,” states Rob Moore, president of Big-D Construction. “Over 96 percent of our projects were with repeat customers, and the majority are right here in Utah.”

According to ENR senior editor, Gary Tulaez, the ranking places Big-D Construction in the top one-quarter of one percent of contractors in the United States. “This listing represents over 100,000 licensed building and heavy highway contractors throughout the nation and approximately one-quarter of one percent of all licensed contractors,” Tulaez said.
