CLIMATE BILL REVIVAL UNDERWAY IN SENATE

November 5, 2009

An attempt to revive the Senate Climate Bill that appears to be in serious trouble has begun in the Senate. A handful of Senators from varying backgrounds are undertaking the revival effort to patch together a bill they believe could pass the Senate.

This is one of President Obama’s major efforts for this first year in office and it has stalled in the process. He and democrats know time is not on their side. The longer the delay in passing such controversial legislation the more support the effort loses. Americans are beginning to see clearly how expensive such climate change legislation would be and how many jobs may be a stake in a time when record numbers are already unemployed.
