Speaker Pelosi Justifies Deficit Increases

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has been quoted as saying the public will be willing to accept increases in the nation’s deficit in trade for more jobs. She apparently believes it is not a proper comparison to pit deficit increases against job growth. She supports a measure being prepared to sharply increase spending yet again in an effort to create more jobs.

She apparently skipped Econ.101 where they talked about the harmful effects of deficit spending and the impact of excessive taxes on employer’s ability to sustain or create jobs. I wonder if she attended class when they talked about bankruptcy.
